My Story
Welcome!!
I joined Scentsy in 2015 when I went to an event and saw the Scentsy wax bars and smelled them. They weren't dry like many other brands. They were filled with the oils to their maximum capacity! I saw a consultant at an event SURROUNDED by these bars of wax, and I KNEW... I wanted to be HER! Haha! I bought a few, took them home, warmed Black Raspberry & Vanilla and fell in LOVE! I signed up to join Scentsy THAT NIGHT! I saw that I could earn 20% back on my purchases, and eventually 25%! All while keeping the 1/2 off and FREE product rewards to myself!! So.. I became a "Kit-napper", (Someone who joins, only to sell to themselves.)
Fast-forward 2 years... I became very ill one week and thought I had the flu. I went to the Dr. a few days later to get tested when I wasn't getting better. I tested negative and was told I had a virus. The next 3 months were a whirlwind of Dr. visits and laying in bed. I was referred to U of M as my Doctors didn't know what was going on. I would eventually be diagnosed with Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysis (a genetic disorder I apparently had always had-but was never fully activated until after the hormone fluctuations of childbirth). It caused neuropathy throughout my body, and took away my ability to practice as a Dental Hygienist. (Something I had worked VERY hard for and was VERY proud of and loved!)
I turned to Scentsy to "cheer me up" since I already had it "in my back pocket." I Started engaging with my teammates and got to know them better. We started having friendly competitions and I began seeing my potential with Scentsy. Before I knew it, I was starting to pay for our groceries with my earnings, paying for small family vacations and buying things like a new vacuum or shelving and a toy box for our kiddo. Little things that made SUCH a difference for us! AND I began growing a team of my own!! (Something I NEVER thought I would do!)
I can't imagine my life without Scentsy now. It is SO much more than fragrance. It is a support system, and a group of believers and achievers. It provides strength, encouragement, celebration, and personal growth to SO many of us. I value EACH and EVERY customer and teammate and cannot imagine where I would be without them!
